The advert below by the National Road Safety Council of Papua New Guinea, whilst attempting to promote road safety, has several serious mistakes. Maybe it is highlighting the many mistakes made on PNG roads every day?
In Papua New Guinea motor vehicles are right hand drive and are driven on the left. In the advert the vehicles is travelling from right to left which means the vehicle is travelling on the wrong side of the road or in other words lucky there is no oncoming traffic.
The advert also shows the vehicle straddling the white line which is definitely not allowed although if you have ever driven in PNG then you will realise it is a daily occurrence.
