Yam Patties

Yam Patties

  • 3 cups of any yam, cooked and mashed (substitute with potato, taro, manioc, tapioca, etc)

  • 1 beaten egg

  • 2 teaspoons grated onion

  • 2 teaspoons chopped parsley

  • plain flour

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • cooking oil for frying

Mixed the mashed yam with egg, onion, parsley, salt and pepper and form a flat circular patty.

Roll the patty in flour and fry in hot oil till golden brown.
