In 1972, possibly 1973, a trip to Tasmania was mooted for members of the Motor Scooter and Cycle Association of Victoria. After a year of planning the trip happened from Boxing Day 26th December 1973 through to the 11th January 1974.

46 motorcycles took part in the trip around Tasmania.
